Join us for another great Best Practices Conference
Join CIDM members and colleagues at the 9th Annual Best Practices Conference in Atlanta, Georgia on September 17-19, 2007. At the premier industry conference for publication managers, learn how your colleagues are promoting and implementing innovative best practices. Using experience as a guide, we’ll exchange understanding and expertise to
- assess the impact of Web 2.0 methods and trends (e.g. peering wikis, blogs) on the information-development community
- engage with customers in the design and development of information
- partner with support, training, and other internal colleagues
- deliver information to handheld devices
- engage in agile development practices
- support effective growth and development of staff
- measure the performance of your organization and your progress toward corporate objectives
CIDM is pleased to announce the 4th Annual Rare Bird Award for distinguished contributions to best practices in the management of information development. The award is made to a manager or team who meets the criteria for best practices in the industry.
We invite everyone to participate in the Best Practices Showcase at the 2007 Best Practices Conference. The Showcase provides a wonderful opportunity to converse personally with colleagues about your own best practices.
2007 Theme Book
For 2007, we have selected Wikinomics , by Don Tapscott and Anthony D. Williams, as our theme book. The authors tell us that people are no longer willing to be passive recipients of information. They expect to participate. Information-development managers welcome the challenge, but they also express concern about their own and their writers' future roles.
Come to the Conference Free!

You will also receive a year's worth of valuable services provided by CIDM.
