At the 2008 Best Practices Conference, hear CIDM presenters talk about the Critical Conversations they have to spur innovation and advocate for changes that benefit their content consumers. Learn what managers mean when they discuss "changing the language of engagement." Hear the stories our members tell about the critical conversations they hold with
- team members who must embrace new ways of engaging with content customers
- colleagues through the global enterprise who are responsible for creating content
- deliver information to handheld devices
- engage in agile development practices
- senior management who must recognize that content is a marketable asset
- information technologists who understand that content is more than data
2008 Conference Theme
Critical Conversations, our 2008 conference theme, addresses the managers' purpose to communicate business goals, working objectives, and resource requirements to multiple audiences inside and out of the office. The six opening panel sessions on Monday focus on helping us conduct critical conversations with
- staff members
- senior management
- colleagues in other parts of the organization
- customers
- IT and other tools professionals
We follow the panel with an opportunity for all participants to practice the key components of successful critical conversations with a small-group exchange.
