As a valued friend of the CIDM, we invite you to participate in the Best Practices Showcase at the 2004 Best Practices conference, October 18–20, 2004. The showcase will give you a wonderful opportunity to learn about more best practices than we could possibly fit into the sessions.

Join a group of your peers in highlighting your organization's best practice

The Showcase gives you a chance to demonstrate how you and your team have succeeded in communicating information, serving customer needs, building a more efficient operation, creating a stronger team, or any other operating practices that others will find valuable. We ask that you communicate this idea in a poster display with brief text, bullet points, an illustration, a graph, and so on—a high-level description of the idea. Displays should be large and easy to read because people will be walking up to your poster and discussing your best practice with you.

Participating in the Best Practices Showcase need not be difficult. Creating your poster should be easy, and involving your staff in the planning will give them recognition as well. The best practices will be developed into a booklet for all members and available for friends of the CIDM.

You need to be available to talk about your success story only on Tuesday afternoon, but the buzz from your best practice could go on forever!

Best Practices Showcase 2004

The Showcase for Best Practices 2004 will take place on Tuesday, October 19, 2004, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Showcase presenters will have a table and a display panel on which to hang their posters. A speaker should remain at the table to share the concept of the best practice with conference attendees. Conference attendees will walk from table to table discussing and learning about the best practices of all of the presenting companies/individuals.

You may be as creative as you like with charts and illustrations. We will have backing (36" x 48" tri-fold display panel), tape, and pushpins available, as well as colored paper, scissors, markers, and other supplies. These supplies combined with your creativity should make it simple to set up a nice display quickly. You will have time during the morning and after lunch to set up your poster.

Handouts are optional for the showcase but were a hot item last year. Handouts could be the same as the poster or include additional details and contact information.

Please fill out a submission form online or contact the CIDM office at 303-232-7586 if you have any further questions.
