6th Annual Best Practices Conference a Great Success

The weather was pure New England—windy, cold, and rainy. The Red Sox winning the national league pennant was pure Boston. Participants in the Best Practices conference became part of both traditions. We stayed up late watching the Red Sox beat the Yankees, and we enjoyed the blustery days. But, what we all found even more energizing were the wonderful presentations and the opportunity to trade experiences with management colleagues.

This year marked the first time that CIDM has presented an award for distinguished contributions to best practices in the management of information development. The Rare Bird award was presented to Janet Williams-Hepler on behalf of her team at Microsoft, which is responsible for the user assistance for the Office applications.

The Center for Information-Development Management
The Center for Information-Development Management (CIDM) is an organization of information-development, training, and support managers across the United States and internationally.
