The OASIS DITA Adoption Technical Committee announces the formation of a subcommittee to consider the issues of DITA adoption in Asia and the Pacific Rim

The purpose of the committee is to

  • Promote the use of DITA in Asia, India, Australia, New Zealand, and elsewhere in the Pacific-Asia region
  • Research the special needs of Pacific-Asia region companies in adopting the DITA standard
  • Develop best practices for accommodating special needs
  • Help to promote regional activities including conferences, workshops, and webinars

They plan to develop feature articles, white papers, examples, and similar information to help communicate the value of DITA Adoption in this area.

The subcommittee is chaired by Mathew Varghese of Citrix Systems. Mathew lives in India.

Anyone interested in joining the subcommittee must first be a member of OASIS and join the DITA Adoption Technical Committee before joining the subcommittee.
