Tech writers are coming together in Grenoble on Sep 23 to change the world.

On September 23, 2016, technical communicators from around the world will come together in Grenoble, France, for Tech Writing for Good, a one-day conference that will explore new ways to collaborate and learn, while striving to make the world a better place.

This “hybrid” event will include a mix of onsite and online educational sessions covering instructional design, video training, and more. It will also mark the official launch of Tech Writers Without Borders, a new global community for technical communicators who see volunteering their skills and sharing their knowledge as an integral part of their professional and personal development. The initiative aims to bring together technical communicators from all horizons to work on pro-bono technical communication projects and help non-profits to address their documentation and training needs. The initiative will also offer hands-on experience of technical communication tools, techniques, and best practices for project volunteers, and provide fabulous opportunities to showcase and promote the skills and value of the technical communication profession.

As a student, teacher, or recent graduate of a technical communication degree course or academic program in a related discipline, we invite you to register to attend the event live online for free. All sessions will be in English and there will be plenty of opportunities throughout the day for discussion and exchange. Everyone who registers will receive access to all session recordings.

If you, too, are interested in using your skills to improve the lives of others, then please join us on September 23 and get involved!
