Vendor Membership
Vendor members receive year-round exposure to CIDM clients, display space at the Content Management Strategies Conference, registrations for two to both the Content Management Strategies Conference and the Best Practices Conference, as well as other benefits.
- Best Practices newsletter. This bimonthly newsletter provides the latest news in the information-development industry and reports on CIDM studies and member actions. It features articles about management strategies, benchmarking activities and best practices, a calendar of coming events throughout the industry, book reviews, abstracts of journal articles of interest to information-development managers, and so on. CIDM Vendor members are able to submit one article per year to this publication. All articles must be approved by the editor for publication. For a sample copy of the newsletter, view one of our past issues.
- Information Management E-Newsletter. Documentation and training managers and the supporting managers within their departments can participate in the CIDM’s management listserv to get immediate answers and information. Questions and concerns are shared with the CIDM’s select membership of information-development managers and consultants.
- Access to Center Members. Our Vendor members receive year-long exposure to other Center members. Through the CIDM web site, newsletter articles, announcements, and networking at various conferences, workshops, and other CIDM events, you are able to build long-lasting relationships with other managers involved in the organization. These registrations are not necessarily limited to the vendor company. They can be given to prospective clients.
- Benchmarking activities. The CIDM maintains a continuous program of benchmarking studies, inviting CIDM members, as well as other companies, to participate. Specific results and recommendations are available to those companies participating, with reports available to all CIDM members for a discounted fee.
- Reduced cost for CIDM activities. As a benefit of membership, all CIDM activities are available to members at discounted fees. Members receive 25% discounts on all CIDM publications and 10% discounts on seminars, consulting services from the Associates, conference fees, and more.
