About ACM SIGCHI

This special interest group brings together people working on the design, evaluation, implementation, and study of interactive computing systems for human use. It provides an international, interdisciplinary forum for the exchange of ideas about the field of human-computer interaction (HCI). It serves as an international venue for specialists in human-computer interaction, education, usability, interaction design, computer supported cooperative work, and other related areas.

Members are interested in keeping up with changes in the rapidly evolving field of human-computer interaction. They lead research and development in the field—designing and evaluating new user interfaces, making computers easier to use, and extending technology into new domains for new users.
